Exploring the Amazon in Peru 2015
After our hike on the Inca Trail and a few days in Cusco, we headed east of the Andes to the Amazon rainforest in Peru. We flew into Puerto Maldonado and stayed at the Inkaterra Amazonia. It was so hot and humid! We were only able to cool down under a cold shower. But the biodiversity was incredible - thousands of bird species, mammal species, butterflies, orchids and all types of creepie crawlers! We enjoyed hiking, boat rides and tree canopy walks.
